Investor confidence is slipping

By: Sam Thompson | Business News | Tuesday July 31 2012 6:07

There's been further indication that investor confidence is slipping.

The latest ASB Quarterly Investor Confidence Index has fallen four points.

ASB Head of Wealth Advisory Jonathan Beale says spooked investors are wary of the potential for disruption in Europe.

Canterbury bucks the trend, showing signs the rebuild is underway.

Jonathan Beale says investors appear to be taking a more conservative approach this quarter, with Term Deposits reclaiming the top spot as the investment that gives the best return, up four points to 20 percent.

Rental property slid two points to 17 percent.
