The value of exports has fallen for the second quarter in a row.
The seasonally adjusted result for export goods fell 1.6 percent in the June 2012 quarter.
This follows a 5.9 percent fall in the March quarter.
Statistics New Zealand spokesman Neil Kelly says dairy products typically have the largest influence on total exports and they fell 5.7 percent.
The value of imported goods fell 1.9 percent
The trade balance for the June 2012 month was a surplus of $331 million.
