Lowest inflation figures in over a decade expected

By: Annabel Reid | Business News | Monday July 16 2012 7:49

Inflation's expected to hit its lowest level in 13 years.

The latest Consumer Price Index inflation figures are due out tomorrow.

Business correspondent Roger Kerr says inflation is quite subdued at the moment.

He says if the quarterly increase is 0.5 percent, the annual rate of inflation will drop to the lowest level since 1999.

Mr Kerr says there could be pressure for inflation increases in the coming months.
