By: Newstalk ZB staff | Latest Emergency News | Monday August 13 2012 12:48

Firefighters are attempting to contain a blaze in north Canterbury.

There are no reports of injury from the rural house fire that was first reported shortly after 11am this morning.

A Fire Service spokesman says five fire trucks and three water tankers are on the scene in Greta Valley, which is just north of Waipara.

He says when they arrived the property was well ablaze.
