There's been an interesting find for a Tai Tapu family.
The Broomhall family dog was found playing with the carcass of an animal on the back lawn last week.
It was taken to the vet, where they confirmed the carcass belonged to a rat - almost three quarters of a metre long.
Eight-year-old Finlay Broomhall says it was pretty disgusting.
"It had big teeth and it had big claws - sharp, and whiskers coming out."
Finlay Broomhall says he wants to keep the carcass in the back of his Dad's truck, and show it to his friends when they come round.
