The Meatworkers' Union claims it has no choice but to strike again.
Its dispute with AFFCO continues as hundreds of members remain locked out of factories across the country.
Union secretary Graham Cooke says facilitation is continuing - albeit at a slow pace.
He says they've filed for another five day strike from Friday.
"And it's with great reluctance. We would like this dispute resolved so with the lockout still in place we've got no choice but to keep the solidarity of our members together."
Mr Cooke says meetings are being held today at the various plants, to keep workers up to date.
