More than 150 agri-businesses will be showing their wares as the inaugural Ag-Fest kicks off in Hokitika tomorrow.
The two-day event aims to bring together the best the South Island’s rural industry has to offer for the first time.
Ag-fest co-organiser Andy Thomson says he hopes the rural showcase will grow to rival the National Fieldays at Mystery Creek.
He says as well as celebrating rural success, the festival will try and break the world record for the most gumboots worn in a single venue.
