Fonterra has picked a new chairman, with John Wilson set to take over from Sir Henry van der Heyden in December.
Wilson was elected by the co-op’s board following a two-year search.
He has served on Fonterra’s board for the past three years, and is the former head of the dairy giant’s shareholder’s council.
Henry van der Heyden says Wilson’s wealth of experience set him apart, and he’s looking forward to a smooth transition after ten years at the dairy giant’s helm.
Wilson will assume his duties at Fonterra’s annual general meeting.
