Thirteen plants have been added to a list of banned species, as local and central government clamps down on noxious weeds.
The new additions to the National Pest Plant Accord (NPPA) join a list of plants which are illegal to grow, distribute, or spread
Among those now added to the list include asparagus fern, drooping sedge, orange cestrum, and Queen of the Night.
The NPPA has been through three reviews since its inception in 2001, the latest beginning last year.
