Wool prices enjoyed a rare boost at this week’s sale.
Almost 70 per cent of the 14,000 bales on offer were sold, the highest clearing rate this season.
Sales of fine crossbred fleece and longer fine crossbred shears rose by four to six per cent on last month’s sale.
Next week’s sale is cancelled because rain up and down the country stopped sharing.
