The finalists in this year’s Young Farmer of the Year contest get down to the nitty-gritty of the contest ahead of today’s technical challenges.
The seven finalists will present findings from their innovation projects and present a business plan to a panel of judges.
They will then compete in a panel interview before rounding off the day with human resources challenge.
Friday’s events will see the finalists compete in a series of practical events at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The winner will be announced at a gala event on Saturday in Dunedin.
