South Auckland school in lockdown

By: Anna Cross | Latest Auckland News | Monday August 13 2012 10:57

Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate in the Auckland suburb of Mangere is in lock down.

It's been sparked by a student who's brought weapons to school.

Board chairman Peter Sykes says there's no threat to any students.

"The police have been called in just to check, to search around the school and to basically do a safety sweep."
