Both the Crown and Defence have wrapped up their cases in the George Gwaze trial at the High Court in Christchurch this afternoon.
The 60-year-old is accused of the murder and sexual violation of 10-year-old Charlene Makaza.
The Defence claim Charlene died from toxic shock as a result of her HIV status.
Tomorrow both the Defence and Crown will give their closing addresses to the seven men and five women in the jury and on Friday, Justice French will sum up.
The trial is now in its 18th day, and looks to be on track to last the four weeks it was predicted to run at the outset.
